How each brief is madeVerification methodology
Every brief starts with a company-filed transcript and must pass separate number and context checks before it can appear on guidance.fyi.
The filed transcript is the source
We discover earnings-call transcripts in NSE and BSE corporate announcements. The summary page links to the exact filing used. Investor presentations and recordings may be linked as supporting material, but the written brief is generated from the transcript.
We do not treat market commentary, social posts, broker research, or another summary site as evidence for what management said.
A structured first draft
A language model reads cleaned transcript passages and returns a fixed set of fields: the central thesis, key numbers, material changes, Q&A highlights, management guidance, and a source quote where one is useful. Identifiers, URLs, dates, and publication state are added by the pipeline rather than invented by the model.
Every displayed number is checked
The pipeline extracts numeric tokens from the proposed brief and requires each complete number to appear in the transcript. It rejects partial matches, such as finding “23” inside “2023.” A separate contextual check evaluates whether a number belongs to the claimed metric, unit, period, and comparison basis.
Qualitative claims receive an independent audit
A different model reviews the headline, metrics, summary points, changes, guidance, and Q&A against bounded passages from the source. It looks for unsupported conclusions, missing qualifiers, incorrect attribution, and figures used in the wrong context. The auditing model is separate from the model that writes the draft.
A failed check prevents publication
A transcript can be difficult to extract, ambiguous, or internally inconsistent. If a required check fails, that call is held for review while other calls continue through the pipeline. The site only loads records marked as verified.
What “verified” does not mean
Verification means the displayed brief passed the evidence checks above. It does not mean management’s statements are true, forecasts will be achieved, the transcript itself is error-free, or the summary contains every detail relevant to every investor. This is a research aid, not investment advice.
When a number matters to a decision, follow the transcript link and review it in its original context.
Corrections are public
Readers can report a suspected error from any call page or emailhello@guidance.fyi. Confirmed material errors are corrected on the affected page and recorded in the publiccorrections ledger with the date and nature of the change.
